Malaysia Expat Tools (malaysiaexpattools.com) is built to need as little of your data as possible. This page explains what is collected and why.

What you type into the tools

All calculators run entirely in your browser. Dates, amounts, ages and other answers you enter are not sent to us and are not stored. If you download a calendar file from the 90-day report calculator, it is created on your device.

Website analytics and hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use Cloudflare's privacy-focused analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.

Email list

If you subscribe to rule-change emails, your email address is stored by our email provider, Buttondown, and used only to send those emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

Cookies and advertising

We do not currently set any cookies. If we add advertising or affiliate links in the future, those partners may use cookies, and this page will be updated before that happens to explain which partners and how to opt out.

Links to other websites

Tool pages link to official and independent sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Your rights and contact

You can ask what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailinghello@malaysiaexpattools.com. If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change too.
